Good for any group

Two of you or a crowd, eight or eighty: crazy golf works for almost any group. Everyone plays the same holes, nobody needs to be good at it, and there is always a winner to cheer, or to tease.

Whoever’s coming

  • Birthdays

Everyone gets a putter, the birthday girl or boy goes first, and there is a winner to cheer at the end. Some venues do parties: look on the venue's page, or ask the course.

  • Family days out

The little ones, the grown-ups and the grandparents, all on one card and all playing the same holes. Nobody sits it out.

  • A first date

Something to do, something to laugh about and a little friendly rivalry, without having to stare at each other across a table.

  • Friends and rematches

Settle last time's argument once and for all. Save the card, and the score is there to point at when somebody remembers it differently.

  • Holidays and school holidays

A seaside afternoon, an evening at the holiday park, a day out in half term or the long summer. When it rains, look for a course under a roof.

  • Office and club outings

A team afternoon, a club social or a leaving do. Nobody needs to be sporty, and it gets people talking who might not otherwise.

  • A birthday girl in a paper crown putts past a little white windmill while her friends cheer her on, with bunches of balloons tied to a white fence and a mum smiling beside them
    Birthday girl goes first
  • A couple on a date in the evening sun: he holds his head in both hands after a missed putt while she laughs with a hand on his shoulder, a little wooden bridge behind them
    He wants a rematch
  • Four teenagers by the hole crowd round the phone one girl is holding: a boy holds his hand to his forehead while the others laugh, a little wooden bridge behind them
    Who's winning?
  • A woman putts through a glowing arch on an indoor neon course while two friends with drinks laugh behind her
    Friday night, neon lights

One card, and see who won

One phone keeps the score for the whole group, up to eight players on a card. Somebody turned up late? Add them at any hole.

At the last hole the card names the winner and ranks everyone, with the full card hole by hole for anyone who wants to check. Save it to keep it, and with an account you can share the result with the group.

More than eight of you? Split into teams, a card each on a different phone, and compare at the end. For a big group, check with the course before you go.

The loser buys the ice creams. That one is up to you.
